Our urban loggers remove trees that can no longer provide living benefits due to disease, disasters or developments. Once we prune or clear trees from your land we find ways to repurpose the raw material rather than sending it to the landfill, preventing waste and the release of greenhouse gases into the environment.

About Us

Our Urban Forest Management “4R” approach recycles, repurposes, replants and rebuilds, using raw materials from urban logging to create beautiful live-edge décor, legacy furnishings and commercial-grade building materials that go right back into the community.

We are full-service tree care facility with onsite equipment to process local wood species into commercial-grade products. Our Red Deer facility features the city’s first wood-fired boiler that converts waste material into heat for our shop and for our kiln as well.

We maintain clean, efficient work sites. Our on-site tree removal process starts with chainsaw operators falling trees. When you’re in need of tree services, whether to have them trimmed, removed or mulched, it’s important to choose a company with the right tools. Ecotree, serving central Alberta, has a wide variety of equipment that can handle the challenges associated with these kinds of jobs.

We recycle what we take down

At Ecotree, helping clients throughout Central Alberta, we’re proud to offer wood recycling services. We don’t just take your tree down, we have the capabilities to haul it away and recycle the wood instead of it ending up in the landfill. We currently only mill and dry lumber we acquire through our takedowns. Contact us if you’re a company/individual looking for ways to obtain LEED credits, custom lumber or live edge pieces.
